EIS is now Sealogy!

About us

Sealogy was born out of a profound passion for yachting and a deep understanding of the unique challenges yacht owners face. Founded by a charter fleet operator who encountered difficulty finding qualified coverage for his vessels, Sealogy was created to offer expert insurance solutions for yachts of all types and sizes. Over the years, we have refined our expertise, embracing each challenge as an opportunity to craft tailored insurance solutions that meet the distinct needs of every owner, no matter how complex.

Our story began in 1999 when Boris Quiotek started offering boat insurance in Germany under the name EIS - European Insurance & Services. Today, with a dedicated team of thirty professionals and over 24 years of experience, Sealogy insures charter fleets and yachts worldwide. We specialize in providing tailor-made insurance products that protect you and your vessel from the uncertainties of the sea, allowing you to embark on your maritime adventures with confidence and peace of mind.

Now owned and managed by Daniel Hoffmann and Ulf Remmel, Sealogy is steadfast in its mission to become a globally recognized leader in yacht and pleasure craft insurance. Our entrepreneurial spirit drives our growth, and we are deeply committed to building strong and lasting B2B relationships.

Underwriting Philosophy

At Sealogy, we approach yacht underwriting with a blend of expertise and passion, recognizing that each vessel represents a unique risk profile.

Our innovative Sealogy Risk Triangle is the cornerstone of our underwriting philosophy, allowing us to craft tailored solutions that harmonize your needs with our role as a risk carrier. This dynamic approach enables us to fine-tune the balance between premiums, deductibles, and exclusions, ensuring optimal coverage for your prized possession.

We meticulously consider all aspects of your yacht – from materials and age to propulsion systems and intended usage – as well as your specific trading requirements and any other relevant risk factors.

Our commitment to you extends beyond mere risk assessment. We're passionate mariners ourselves, and this deep-rooted love for the sea infuses every decision we make. We understand that your yacht is more than just a vessel; it's a dream realized, an adventure waiting to unfold.

With Sealogy, you're not just securing insurance; you're gaining a trusted partner who will navigate the complexities of maritime coverage alongside you. Our expertise is your assurance, our optimism your beacon, and our loyalty your anchor in both calm and stormy seas.

We believe in transparency and sincerity in all our interactions. When we say we'll find a solution, it's not just a promise – it's our unwavering commitment to you. Our Sealogy Risk Triangle isn't just a tool; it's a testament to our innovative spirit and our dedication to providing you with coverage that's as unique as your yacht.
